Where to eat whilst in bangalore
There are so many places to try in Bangalore and the restaurants range in experience. Just what you would expect from any cosmopolitan city. What I loved was that one moment I can be on the street enjoying Pani Puri with my driver from his favorite "hotel" to having the opportunity to enjoy world class cuisine that is breathe taking exquisite with elements of Molecular Gastronomy. Here I've captured some places I enjoyed.
Places I've been and why I recommend them. These are in no particular order.
Olive beach - a med/Indian hybrid set in a tranquil white wall garden. A pleasant place to sit and sip a cocktail.
Harima - Fantastic Japanese restaurant bit pricey though and a strange location
Windmill Craftworks - microbrewery in Whitefield - Good mix of food.
Rim Naam - Tranquil and superb quality. The pineapple rice is gorgeous, I'd have sticky rice normally but this is lovely.
Fat Chef (Whitefield) - OK and good mix of food.
Bieere Club Whitefield - Microbrewery with good range of Mediterranean food with a twist.
Bheema's Church Street - Andhra style - Dare I say real... I've since read that it hasn't changed in years and at weekends it's very busy.
The Paramount Value Forum meal - mutton fry was delicious and a cheap meal out.
“Hotel” Bangalore – Hyderabad Highway Devanhalli
Hole in the wall Hotel Old Madras Road - Street food
A2B (for breakfast) - Great chain for breakfasts
Caperberry MG road - Heston style - recommended by Alan and Tim (on lonely planet too) - a little too posh and fancy., Oh wait, that is why I like it!
Monkey bar - Hip and happening place near Olive Beach. Probably would enjoy more if a couple of minutes from home and I was a student.
BBQ Nation - fantastic place for meat. Great starters, in fact I could fill up on the never ending supply of starters.
Sunny's - pleasant enough
Chilies - Phoenix mall - loved the ribs, I could have been in America.
